So this is the last week of the Sally Hansen Crackle challenge, I am done and I end it with Antiqued Gold because I love gold polishes!

 

I wanted to have fun with this since it was the last crackle and orange was a good fit because I love the two shades together for the summer season.

The other color that I chose to complete the look with the crackle is SpaRitual’s  Revere,  together it gave a nice glow.

The countdown is slowly coming to a end one more crackle to go and that will be Antiqued Gold, whew! I am all crackled out : ) This week’s crackle Cherry Smash was a touch challenge for me because I was trying to find the perfect shade for this crackle. I tried a few colors before like indigo blue and black but it wasn’t hot even for me to rock for the week. So after checking over my nail polish boxes this teal aqua shade looked like it would be ideal.

Instead of giving my hands the show I decided that I would add the crackle on my toes and see how well it would work. I thought it made a statement, the crackle was easier to apply on the toe nail.

The shade that I rocked to get this look is  Orly called Gumdrop, a great summer shade that worked very classic with the Cherry Smash.

The only down fall about it is people really didn’t notice the crackle on my toes, more attention came from it being on my finger nails. So depending on if your looking for compliments or simple enjoyment do as you please.

Distressed Denim

 

Okay so my Sally Hansen Crackle challenge is almost over but this week it’s all about rocking the blue! This crackle is called Distressed Denim and boy is it full of fire.

To get the nails to make a strong statement I had to go bold and what’s bolder than red, PINK!

 

The color combo is a great mix because if I decide to be casual with a pair of skinny jeans the Sally Hansen Crackle gives a great edge. A great way to getting a good crackle is using a very thin coat, over applying the crackle coats doesn’t help achieve a great crackle look.

Another great tip is if you heart shimmer polishes don’t expect it to work that well with the crackle, sometimes it doesn’t work as well due to the roughness of the base. Stick to solid shades because their more simple and the results will last much longer.

The color scheme I used for this nail look is Orly’s Fiesta, perfect summer style for a manicure/pedicure.

This Distressed Denim is another fave of mine, I must admit finding the right base color for this did take sometime time so experiment until it’s fabulous for you.

FUCHSIA SHOCK

 

Back for another round from the Sally Hansen Crackle Collection, this shade is called Fuchsia Shock. Every woman loves a good shade of pink and pink is a great shade for the summer.

 

The crackle style looked gorgeous this time around, everything fell right into place and I was very happy with the ending results.

 

 

The duo color scheme of the gold and pink is a great wear for a day and night out look. For a great evening out it adds a glamorous touch to a outfit.

 

The color duo combination that added to this look was Nicole by OPI in Sea How Far You Go.

 

I enjoyed this shade a lot another fave to add to my list, off to a new shade next week check back!

Crackle in Violet Vintage

This the fourth shade from the collection and now I am on to the 5th color, super excited about it too!

 

 

The best color scheme that I knew would really work well was gold and I was very happy with the combination.

The gold was a fun shiny metallic and the Vintage Violet went on very well that I was able to get a good crackle effect.

My nails were very fun and edgy and just a great look for the start of summer.

The Vintage Violet is my third favorite color so far, it just looked so perfect especially with a bronzed or a pink look.

This was another hit with the ladies because they felt that it made a great pop statement and was very noticeable, they also thought it was better to apply the crackle on a few nails instead of having it on all. I guess I will continue to do this fun trend.

Crackle in Snow Blast

 

 

  This is shade #3 from the collection but I am already rocking the fourth shade. 

Check out how the crackle works with a mini tutorial of the Snow Blast.

 

  I enjoy only doing a few nails it’s so much easier because it gives a strong pop and it allows others to notice it more. The Snow Blast could be stronger if you use a different shade as the base BUT I needed something lighter because of meetings that I attended this week. This crackle was simple and workable for a chic and fresh look. I would recommend getting a fun color like pink, purple or gold it’s summer and those shades are more flirty in my opinion.

This weeks crackle challenge wasn’t so much of a fave with most chica’s they felt the color looked like white out and they enjoyed the other shades that I used so far from the collection.

  To me it depends on what you use as a base coat, you can make something special with just the right color scheme, I will try it again with a dark color and see if it has a different effect.

So here we are week two for me with this crackle polish, I must first start out by saying even though I personally am not a HUGE fan of crackle everywhere I go women are in LOVE!!! I am like really you like this? I haven’t heard anything bad about it they all love the concept and are so eager to try. So I started thinking I guess I should find what I like about this crackle polish and rock it and be fabulous.

 

So Fractured Foil is the next one up. Originally I had a deep plum shade underneath and I was thinking of being a bit bolder for a weekend night out and silver was the selection.

 

The crackle worked well with this SpaRitual polish it, gave good cracks lol!

 

At first I wasn’t sure about the purple and sliver mixed  but again women were going crazy over this creation.

I still will say the crackle theme for me is best for a weekend look, BUT I decide to incorporate it in a daily look by applying crackle on two nails instead of all of them and that works for me.

  I enjoy not knowing the style of the final crackles and actually finding shades that bring out the crackle. Its very easy to do and the cost of doing your own nail art like this is very inexpensive and you can definitely do it in the comfort of your own home.
