My Fashion Week Recap

New York Fashion Week this year was a different experience for me. I was able to attend a ton of great shows, get the backstage trends, connect with amazing talented people and become a backstage dresser! What a season filled of excitement, anxiety and knowledge. All aspects were worth it all and I can truly say I am blessed.

My first time being a dresser was filled with major jitters because it was a new experience and I was learning while working in the moment. Very fast paced, chaotic and a ton of adrenaline was the vibe I felt. Thank god a small sip of something good can make me relax a bit and work it all out. After the runway production wraps up it's super exciting to see photo's of the models you dressed for these amazing designers. Check out my girls I dressed from Pamela Rolland and Laquan Smith runway show, how fabulous!

Unfortunately I wasn't allowed to take any backstage pictures while I was dressing which is sad because it was a memorable moment.

In life you have to do what you love and appreciate those that help make those possibilities for you. Special thanks to my FIT instructors you all rock!

Designer: Amnesia
At Nolcha Shows

When it comes to great fashion designers it's not just about the clothes and the fabric choices they use. It's really about how you see yourself in the garments that make it a fashion hit. Designer Eva Prokai behind the brand Amnesia proved that her clothes give women the option to be feminine, stylish and appealing in her designs. Her Spring/Summer'19 collection showcased at Nolcha Shows was fresh and wearable making it desirable on the runway. Even though the brands style is very trendy, you can easily rock their pieces with your signatures!

I love a good black and white combo when it comes to nails and this look is everything. Plus its so fun to be able to create your own fashion forward look to make a statement!

It was all about the glam nail seen at Christian Siriano Spring/Summer 2019 Collection. The models nail designs were created by Gina Edwards, Lead Manicurist for KISS Products Inc.  The creation featured an exotic "twisted zebra" nail look -- using imPRESS Press-On Manicure Medium Length Nails in Black, and KISS Nail Artist Paints.  You can get the imPRESS nails for $7.99 and the Nail Artist Paints are $6.99

Runway: HAITHAIRAT at Nolcha Shows

Designer: HATHAIRAT
at NOLCHA SHOWS

The name Hathairat might be difficult to get on the first try (pronounced Hã-tie-rãt) but this designer  should be on your fashion radar. Not one to follow trends but a creator of true style is what makes her stand alone when it comes to wearable fashion. Her Spring/Summer'19 collection featured styles that were flowy, sophisticated and elegant to be paired casually or dressed up. The collection had a lot of signature confident pieces. I would have loved to see more designs on the runway.

It's all about powerful women when it comes to the beauty looks portrayed on the runway. Bold colored winged eyes were the staple point along with rich intense lipstick that added major pop with a beauty mark that will definitely be trending for resort season. Do you love, would you rock? Check out the products used below to create this beauty look!

FACE:
Erin used Fit Me Matte +Poreless Foundation for flawless skin and applied InstantAge Rewind Eraser DarkCircles Treatment Concealerwhere needed. To eliminate excess oil, she dusted Fit MeLoose Finishing Powder over any shiny spots.

EYES:
To create the winged eyes, Erin sketched the graphic shape across lids using the Eyestudio Lasting Drama Waterproof GelPencil Eyeliner in Sleek Onyx, Lustrous Sapphire, or Polished Amethyst.

LIPS:
For high-impact lips, she applied SuperStayMatte Ink in Pioneer, Heroine, or Explorer.

A bright beauty mark drawn on with the Eyestudio Lasting Drama Waterproof Gel Pencil Eyeliner in Lustrous Sapphire or Silken Turquoise acted as the finishing touch.

Runway: VITRUVIUS at Nolcha Shows

 Designer: Virtruvius

It's another season of fashion week kick off and back on the runway at Nolcha Shows is designer/s Vitruvius.  A collective group of design students make this dynamic brand a true trendsetter! Last season I loved their collection so I was excited to see what creative elements would take the stage for Spring/Summer 19.

Once again they didn't disappoint with their dramatic appeal and strong attention to detail when it came to fabric choices. Each look was very theatrical and gave a strong costume vibe that was eye catching. Where they fell short for me was in the lack of vibrant colors in anyone one of their pieces just a splash would have been satisfying! Overall the collection was memorable, creative and well defined.
