Review: Revlon Straightener + Jemma Kidd Lip Colour

Target debuts their new beauty essentials for the 2012 Fall season and I was able to try their new “IT” item Revlon’s new hair straightener.  The look  dazzles in leopard, heat’s up to a max of 30 and is simple to achieve a sleek straight look in minutes. Plus the new 24/7 Lip Colour from Jemma Kidd in Monroe is a deep red that get’s you notice and it comes in various shades for a fierce beauty look.

Review: Neon Nails

If you’re looking for pretty shades to rock this summer season I am loving the shades from Essie Beach Bum Blu and Revlon’s Beach shade. Both of them offer that statement quality that shines through a dull outfit and can highlight one too.

Essie lacquers have proven to stay and lasts long on my nails so the thought of spending a bit more on the brand is a must for me. The color of the blue has a nice metallic touch to it and I am rocking the pedicure for a third week!!

Revlon’s scent polishes have been on my radar for a awhile and I must admit the scent is very light and easier than smelling the over bearing scents of polishes. But even with that great perk it wouldn’t have me running to the beauty store for just that alone. The shade sells in itself and I have opt to rock it for a second week. So pretty and bold and keeps what ever you plan to wear alive.

Trends: Budget Finds

 

It’s great to budget shop and each week I set a day to see what new items make my it list. This time it was a variety of fashion, beauty and a bit of home décor. My favorite places to look for budget fashion trends is Tj Maxx because you can get designer labels for less and the price range is affordable my finds were $20 and under. I found some great trinkets from Ikea for summer BBQ’s or decorations for a patio all items under $4, a beauty bargain from Face Value on Revlon’s Scented nail polish $3.50. Plus stores that include Marshalls, Rainbow, Target and Forever 21. Check out the video on my budget finds.

Another fun Thursday for a Face Of The Day photo, playing up so more purple shades. I am loving the purple mixes it might be my go to thing besides Coral.

Foundation: BareMinerals Matte Golden Tan SPF 15 $28 Eye Shadow Iman Cosmetics ( found out at a flea market discontinued palette) do check out her brand though. Only the first top two shades were used 1. Deep Bronzer 2. White Frost Champagne.Mascara: YSL Volume Effet Faux Cils $30 I really only rocked this because the shade is lavender and I wanted to stick with the theme, but the gold packaging is the only thing I adore, if you get my drift. Blush: MAC in Loverush $30 (discounted try Dollymix) Love this, wish MAC brings it back!

Eye Brows: Josie Maran Argan Magic Brows Brow Marker + Brow Powder Duo $24 so since I am still growing my eye brows out I am back to using my favorite tool. Remember ladies the thin look is out get full brows now ; ) Lipstick: Revlon Super Lustrous in Violet Frenzy $6.50 I am addicted to this shade and I think brand now, I am so glad I can just scoop this up at my local drugstore plus Walgreens has buy on get one 50% off, happy beauty shopping!

Beauty: Face Of The Day

This was one of my favorite Face Of The Day looks, I guess it’s because I love all the products I used. Especially the lipstick a new beauty find at Target ; )

Foundation: Bare Minerals Matte SPF 15 Golden Tan

I am forever bonded by this foundation it’s close to be finished from too much usage. Crème Eye Shadows: Revlon Illuminace in Skinlights

I use to hate crème shadows but once I tried this palette it made me enjoy it again. I think because the texture is so smooth and durable now before the sizzling heat.

Blush: MAC (I think this shade is discontinued : (  try DollyMix shade) I always rock this when I want to go bold or edgy it’s great to have those wild colors for that intense moment of WILD.

Mascara: It Cosmetics Hello Lash I really only use two brands for mascara and this one is my like my daily signature one, I love the brush applicator it hasn’t failed me yet.

Lipstick: Revlon Violet Frenzy I am obsessed with this shade I just picked it up it was the last one in this shade and it was mine. Love this shade so much I hope it never is discontinued!

Face Of The Day: Flirty Girl

This was my beauty look that was set to take on a ton of fashion and beauty events for the day it started glam and ending in yes a hot mess.

I’ve used MAC foundation for awhile and I love it but sometimes it breaks me out after continuous usage, not sure why this happens but I love the flawless finish.

Revlon’s crème shadows are the best, so smooth and it looks so gorgeous, celebrity makeup artists are usually shocked when they hear it’s a cheaper brand. I love the easy application but it can get a bit messy when you have it on for 8 hours plus or running around through the city attending many events. A fresh touch up would be ideal but overall a must have to splurge on! I used shade 1 for the lower lids to give the eyes a pop and awakening look and shade 2 as the base because it was a natural taupe that rocked well with my skin tone.

Mally beauty Volumizing Mascara will forever be my “IT” mascara for long days. It’s totally bulletproof it stays on all day and remains looking fiercely amazing. I only use it for special occasions or when attending events and I recommend having it in your beauty draw.

For lips and blush action it’s all about Physicians Formula pH Powered Collection, the lip gloss is in Pink and the blush is in Natural both give you a signature color based on your pH levels and it comes with a light up mirror. That’s a perfect necessity for a glam girl on the go!

Beauty: Face Of The Day

Products Used

Full force bronzer from Wet N Wild not sure of the color shade it doesn’t say. The shade is a touch darker than my skin tone so it gives a great tanned effect.
On my eyes I used this Victoria Secret palette it’s from a previous holiday collection. The new collection has the same shades click here. I love the shade because it’s a frosty off white and has a lot of sheer shimmer. The second shade is a dark copper filled with shimmer as well I added this inside the crease very softly. I applied Napoleon Perdis the lightest pink shade on the brown bone to balance the frosty shadow and I than applied the Victoria Secret shadow underneath the eyes for an instant shimmer blasting effect.

My cheeks are M.A.C Dame in satin a rosy pink blush. Mally mascara on the eyes and you know what’s on the lips Revlon colorburst in hot pink gotta make it sizzle.

Beauty: Face Of The Day

Fresh Look


Another beauty shot filled with some amazing products, this was a favorite Face Of The Day Look of mine.


Inside The Products
The face was all about Mark. Get A Tint Moisturizer leave all of the foundations alone for the summer and keep it light. I love this because it brightens your face, it has SPF 15 and it’s super light weight. The color I have is Buff/Natural its a bit lighter than my shade but it still blends really with my complexion.
My favorite palette that is so worth buying more than one on is e.l.f. Studio Endless Eyes Pro Mini Eyeshadow you get a variety of shimmer, soft pastels, neutrals and smoky shades as well. The three shades that I used on my eyes were Top: 2nd shimmer bronzed shade Bottom: Left sheer pink and copper bronze next to it.
I love bronzed and shimmer eye shadows these aren’t over powering they come on very light and you can apply a few times to get a more dramatic look.
For my lashes I rocked a newbie of mine YSL Volume Effet Faux Cils Luxurious Mascara For A False Lash Effect the shade is Facine Violet a deep dark purple. It’s not a loud mascara you won’t even notice that it’s purple when applied on the lashes.
For the cheekbones rock Flirt in Crazy In Love and for the lips Revlon Colorburst in Hot Pink, which I need to buy another since I am running out!
