Beauty is all about gorgeous colors, pretty packaging and a divine product, at least that's what I look for. I also love if it looks amazing on me and makes me that extra special feeling of pretty. Last week I attended the launch of Napoleon Perdis Nude Bar Collection at his NYC residence. The collection features many shades of nudes so that all women can incorporate that chic look. The collection features the Double Agent Nude Lip Palette $29 which is great for a soft nude lip and a matte finish for staying put, Off Duty Tinted Moisturizer - Light / Medium and Medium to Dark $42 is amazing for those no foundation days as it still gives your face a natural radiance appearance.

Review: NP Set Glam Set

The NP Set called Glam Set palette is a great beauty must for the spring ladies. The eye shadow shades are a mix of light and brown neutrals that can be blended simple or edgy. The blushes give a amazing glow for the spring season and a perfect look for summer. The lips offer sizzling colors in mauve, pinks to berries that can be so playful. $24 and you get all in one at Target, only missing link the brushes! There is also the second palette called Red Carpet, this is what that looks like more edgy and bolder shades.

NYFW: Venexiana and Napoleon Perdis

Venexiana/Napoleon Perdis Fashion Show

I was asked to cover the Venexiana Fashion Show from backstage by Chastity of GlitterBuzzStyle. It was my first time going to a fashion show and being backstage. I was extremely excited and nervous at the same time!

I also encounter a problem trying to get in. The ladies at the desk were not able to find me on their Press List but eventually they did. It was such a relief. I was scared that I had to leave without seeing anything.

Upon entering the makeup tent, I saw Napoleon Perdis, Founder of Napoleon Perdis Cosmetics applying makeup on a model. I had met makeup artists before but it was my first time seeing a famous makeup artist in action. Everything was done immediately on command. "This model's lips are not done. It's not bold enough. Apply more Devine Goddess Aphrodite." said Naoleopeon, and it was done, just like that.

It was extremely busy. There were Napoleon Perdis Cosmetic makeup artists and Philip Pelusi hair stylists working on models after models. I was very impress by the speed and accuracy of their work.

There were also television press interviewing him. Lucky, I was also able to ask him a few questions in between his models.

Trend-wise, he said, "Lashes, lashes, lashes! Smokey eyes and dark dense bolder lip color." When ask what was his inspirations for this makeup look, he said, "Kati Stern, the designer and luscious Europeans inspired him." His favorite product of all is Auto-Pilot Pre-Foundation Primer.

I think my favorite product used on the models will be the China Doll Eyeliner Equinox. I love all fine line detail products. It looks dark and precise on the models. I can't wait to get it for myself!

Kati Stern, the Fashion Designer of Venexiana came in to check the progress of the models many times during the night. She is a petite woman but with a big heart for fashion. I love many of her designs for the Fall/Winter 2011 Collection.

Many people attended the Venexiana Fashion Show. Everyone was dressed up beautifully for the night. The whole place was filled up to the rim with people. Everyone can't wait to see 2011 Fall/Winter Collection.

I loved the Venexiana Fall Collection. It's not your everyday-wear, so feast your eyes on these glamorous dresses and gowns while you can. The entire collection is breathtaking and exquisite. These dresses are definitely statement-makers. I love the purple and gray plaid dresses in this collection the most for it's texture and sophisticated appeal. All the dresses in Kati Stern's collection have a nice flow and draped beautifully on the models. Perfect collection. Perfect evening at NYFW!

Beauty: Face Of The Day

Products Used

Full force bronzer from Wet N Wild not sure of the color shade it doesn’t say. The shade is a touch darker than my skin tone so it gives a great tanned effect.
On my eyes I used this Victoria Secret palette it’s from a previous holiday collection. The new collection has the same shades click here. I love the shade because it’s a frosty off white and has a lot of sheer shimmer. The second shade is a dark copper filled with shimmer as well I added this inside the crease very softly. I applied Napoleon Perdis the lightest pink shade on the brown bone to balance the frosty shadow and I than applied the Victoria Secret shadow underneath the eyes for an instant shimmer blasting effect.

My cheeks are M.A.C Dame in satin a rosy pink blush. Mally mascara on the eyes and you know what’s on the lips Revlon colorburst in hot pink gotta make it sizzle.

Basic, Simple, Natural is all I can say for this Face Of The Day!

 

Sometimes less is more and sometimes a full makeup look becomes too thought out. If you can narrow your beauty products to a few key things what looks could you come up with? Could you feel confident with a touch of gloss and no foundation, try it sometimes ; )

 

I love makeup I am that type of woman but there are times when it’s not something I want others to focus on.

 

Products Used

Physicians Formula Bronzer ( It’s the best bronzer for all my needs I can rock it as foundation and I feel attractive with it. Napoleon Perdis ( I love his glosses (In The Flesh) they look beautiful on the lips, so easy to become a signature everyday look.)

e.l.f ( I am so into their brow liner (Medium) I just use it lightly on the brow, gives me the best balance on the brows on the cheap.) MAC ( Great rosy pink LOVE RUSH that gives a touch of flush but always looks natural) Mally ( It’s a splurge but I love mally mascara I repeat it all the time “BULLETPROOF)
