Events: Inside Celebrate InStyle

Tuesday night was filled with dazzle at the Celebrate InStyle event hosted by Single Edition Media and InStyle. The night featured trends for the upcoming holiday season from fun brands like Skinnygirl Sparklers, Sears, Jergens and much more.

 

The vibe at GlasshouseNYC was fabulous with stylish glitz from DSW, it was all about embellish wear to rock now and also for the holidays.

I loved the photo booth that DSW incorporated so I grabbed a striped clutch that work well with my sheath dress, while fellow blogger @brokeandchic glammed a hat and animal heels.

 

 

My favorite brand Skinnygirl was on hand with their Nutrition Bars and delicious Skinnygirl Sparklers. I enjoy the Banana Oatmeal with Dark Chocolate and Pineapple Coconut with splash of vodka if desired.

I am all about a good pair of skinny jeans so I was able to find out the buzz on Vigoss. You can't go wrong with adding a signature pair with a sweater coat, Moto jacket or leather boots. Can't wait to style these and share a picture of how I rocked it!

Fashion Trends: Haul under $50

Here are a few fashion trends I found from Marshall’s, Loehmanns, TJ Maxx and more shops. The price range on most of the items were between $10-$40 always look for those extra savings it helps me every time. Enjoy!

Beauty: 2 Lipsticks Shades To Rock For Spring

The best two shades to rock for the spring season is coral (in a red or orange undertone) or mauve ( plum/pink undertones) these shades are very popular because they transition perfectly for the summer season as well. Depending on the colors you choose you can easily adapt them in to a day into night look as well. Either splurge on a amazing brand or rack up on a few budget brands and get a variety of shades.

Hair: NYFW Backstage w/ Zahir Ziani for Red Door Spas

Elizabeth Arden Red Door Spa’s National Creative Director and Master Stylist, Zahir Ziani styled the hair for the Fall/Winter 2013 Emerson Runway Show. Zahir designed a natural, soft, yet highly textured, thick low pony tail on the models.

KEY PRODUCT USED
Resistance Double Force by Kerastase (the season’s must-have beauty essential) – on dry hair only to create firm, yet flexible hair. Zahir focused on creating volume at the crown of the head, and then synched hair into a pony tail at the nape of the neck using only hair pins, no ties, to avoid hair looking pulled in any places. No visible part was apparent of in order for the style to look soft and feminine.

Additional details:

• Spray everywhere but the hair to avoid stiffness and flakiness
• Do not use any brushes or combs, use only hands and fingers to pull hair back softly and naturally

Each day and evening I used the cleanser, sunscreen lotion toner and night cream. I have no makeup on in the photos just a lipstick on Day 9.

Elizabeth Arden’s  Beautiful Color Eye Shadow Duos $28.50  are a very luxury item that comes in a gorgeous chrome and gold palette. The texture is super soft and has a satin touch to it making the application come on so nicely. The palette comes in a single palette as well but the duo set would be more ideal. Another great perk is the wide selection of colors great combos that work well with every skin tone.

Beauty: Face Of The Day

Bold beauty statements aren’t just about the eye shadows bright theme but it can be just as simple as a bold pout! Check out my beauty look and what products rocked this look!

 

Products Used

It Cosmetics Concealer in Deep $24 I used as a foundation, it comes off a bit shiny but works great as a foundation.

Yagolicious palette is from a older season I actually used their bronzed eye shadow as a blush for a glowing effect. Yagolicious has new beauty line check them out here.

Jemma Kidd Smoke It Up Kit $22 is great for a smoky eye look, I used the black on the lower lids, the light bronze in the crease and the pale white in the brow bone. Love the palette because you can achieve a smoky look with all five shades. My lips were burning hot with Elizabeth Arden lipstick in Rouge $22.50 its so rich in red and dramatic, great color for the season.

GlitterBuzzStyle: Face Of The Day

It’s time for one of my makeup looks, let’s go chicas!

 

I was going for a light makeup routine nothing over the top but a eye catcher that was easy to portray.

 

 

I started with MAC Select Foundation SPF 15 NC 40 on my face

 

I used NP set Shimmer Highlight Duo in Gold/Bronze, love the color combo of this palette.

 

I applied the gold on the lower lids and I used the bronze for the rest of my eyes along the crease and brow bone area.

 

For keeping lashes full and long lasting I always apply my Mally Volumizing Mascara. This is great for long lasting wear, it won’t come off!

 

 

 

 

For the lips I kept it luscious with Revlon Crème Gloss in Sassy Mauve, the shade is great for simple looks.

The shade appears more like a red pink because of the camera flash so here is a swatch of how it comes on your lips.

 

This look was rocked for my official summer BBQ party, it was easy simple and very natural.

It’s always great to add a gold look to the eyes for a awaken look.

For the cheeks I wanted a crème texture since the eye shadows had that soft effect I used my fave, Elizabeth Arden’s Cream Blush in plum.
