Events: The Makeup Show Inside Armour Beauty

Armour Beauty Pics

With over 60 brands showing at The Makeup Show in NYC it can be very overwhelming and a bit distracting with beauty products from the front to the back. But one that I did notice was Armour Beauty because their lip glosses where so gorgeous in color that I had to see what the brand was all about. Theo Kogan the woman behind the brand gave me the scoop on her rock star brand, the dish on their two new popular shades and what she wants women to feel when they use Armour Beauty. Check out the video.

The other great thing about the brand that is very essential is every lip gloss is naturally based, including: shea butter, olive, avocado and mango oils and butters, grapeseed oil and vitamin e. So you look good and also keep those lips moisturized for every season!

Special thanks to Theo Kogan for the interview and introducing me to the brand!

mark. Beauty Tips

Actress Marley Shelton made her mark on the red carpet of the Untitled premiere as did “Ugly Betty” star, Becki Newton at Elle’s 16th Annual Women in Hollywood Tribute. mark celebrity makeup artists Mai Quynh and Jamie Greenberg explain how they created Marley and Becki’s stunning red carpet looks.

Jamie Greenberg Explains How to Get Becki’s Red Carpet look:

Eyes

“Becki loves to try new things and for this look she was really feeling Grace Kelly with some street appeal! First, I applied mark Get Bright Hook Up Highlighter in Golden under Becki’s eyes and the lightest shade from mark Super Flip Color Kit in the corner and along the top of the lid to really make her eyes look bright. I then blended I-mark Custom Pick Eyeshadow in Cake into the crease and the dark grey shade from mark Super Flip Color Kit in the corner of the eyes. To enhance her eye color, I applied mark Eyemarker Color On Line in Jet, smudging all along the lower lash line. Finally I applied one coat of mark Make it Big Lash Plumping Mascara in Raven and topped it with one coat of mark Lash Splash Hook Up Waterproof Mascara in Black to set the lashes and prevent any flaking.”

Face

“I applied mark Face Xpert Flawless Touch Makeup in Honey and set just the T-zone area with mark Matte-nificent Oil-Absorbing Powder in Golden Honey to prevent any unnecessary shine. I also applied mark Good Glowing Mosaic Blush Custom Color Palette in Hush Baby right above Becki’s cheeks to give a fresh highlight. I finished her cheeks by smudging mark Just Pinched Instant Blush Tint in Nude and Cheeky right on the apples of her cheeks, carefully blending up to her hair line.”

Lips

“To finish off her look, I used mark Dew Drenched Moisturlicious Lip Color in Mist on her lips, with a light coating of mark Pro Gloss Hook Up Plumping Lip Shine in Swell.”

Mai Quynh Explains How She Created Marley’s Red Carpet look:

Eyes

“Marley was wearing a deep navy dress by Tibi, so I wanted to give her a complimentary sexy, smoky eye to go with it. I swept on I-mark Custom Pick Eyeshadow in Night Owl layered with Corset from the lash line to the crease. I then blended the shadows upwards towards her brows. For a little extra drama, I lined the inner rim of her eyes with mark Eyemarker Color On Line in Jet and then smudged I-mark Custom Pick Eyeshadow in Corset and Night Owl along the lower lash line. Finally, I used two coats of mark Lash Splash Hook Up Waterproof Mascara in Black.”

Face

“I used mark Face Xpert Flawless Touch Makeup in Golden to even out her skin tone, dabbing mark Good Riddance Hook Up Concealer in Light/Medium around her nose and under her eyes. I set her foundation with mark Powder Buff Natural Skin Foundation in Honey and then dusted mark Bronze Pro Bronzing Powder in Pro Golden to her cheeks, chin and forehead to bring out her natural glow.”

Lips

“Because I wanted to keep the emphasis on Marley’s dark, smoked out eyes, I kept her lips a more subtle shade by using mark Dew Drenched Moisturlicious Lip Color in Skinny Dip.”

mark Spokeswoman Lauren Conrad made her mark at the 6th Annual Hollywood Style Awards on Sunday presenting the Style Award to mark Celebrity Stylist Britt Bardo (who’s first capsule collection for mark debuted this month (www.meetmark.com). Lauren’s fresh-faced and super trendy look can be recreated thanks to Celebrity Makeup Artist Amy Nadine’s beauty secrets.

How to Get Lauren Conrad’s Cheeky look:

Inspiration

“In honor of stylist Britt Bardo, Lauren mixed rocker-chic with a girly-glam! Her floral bubble dress was paired with studded punk-inspired pumps and her braided half-up hair-do contrasted perfectly with her hot pink lips.”

Face

“For her cheeks, I applied mark Just Pinched Instant Blush Tint in Cheeky, a perfect true pink cream blush, on the apples of her cheeks. I then dusted mark Twinklebelle in Rose, a shimmery pearlized powder, above her cheekbones and along her collar bone and shoulders to give her skin an overall youthful glow.”

Lips

“To get Lauren’s bold lip, I filled in her entire lip with mark Kissink Lip Tintmarker in Berry Bitten. This lip stain is a favorite of mine and Lauren’s as it lasts all night without every being dry or flaky. Finally, I added a top coat of mark Lip Exotics Lip Lacquer Hook Up in Pop to give her pink lips a luscious, wet, finish.”

Eyes

“To balance out Lauren’s pink lip, I applied a thick line of mark Get In Line Hook Up Liquid Waterproof Eyeliner in Painted Black. I wanted to keep the emphasis on her winged-out cat eyes, so I left her lower lash line undefined, except for a coat of mark Make It Big Lash Plumping Mascara in Raven applied to her top and bottom lashes.”

GlitterBuzzStyle: Malan B @ Shecky's Beauty Night Out

Hello all my GlitterBuzzStyle readers! This is Malan B with an exclusive look at Shecky's Beauty Night out In NYC! Shecky's Beauty Night out in NYC was full of gift bags, great cocktails, fashion, jewelry, and beauty from vendors all over! I have some exclusive looks and tips just for you!

Location, Location, Location

I attended the Beauty Night Out at The Puck Building on 295 Lafayette St in NYC! The event was from 5pm-10pm. I arrived at 7pm and there was so many people! The event was packed with fashionista's looking for some new products and great deals. There are some great jewelry, beauty, and fashion vendors were in attendance. I mentioned a few of my favs at the event and some of my purchases! There were also a few surprises at the event. Various cosmetic surgery specialist also present for consultations and information regarding different surgeries. So if you wanted some information on a nip/tuck, botox, or reconstructive surgery, then this was a great place to get it.

I heart Eda & Betty Heirloom Couture

I first saw Eda & Betty Heirloom Couture at the Shecky's Ultimate PreParty in Hoboken, NJ. They have some fab waterfall necklaces. Eda & Betty Heirloom Couture uses vintage metals and antique Swakorski chandelier crystals for their collection. I love the charms and the vintage pieces because they are great for a classic look. These necklaces have a gothic feel, which is a huge trend this year. You should check them out on their website http://www.edaandbetty.com/

Jewelry Bakery is yummy!

Jewelry Bakery had some fabulous pieces to wear for every affair. I fell in love with their bracelet/necklace piece because such a versatile piece. For $25, you can not go wrong. Necklet (Necklace+Bracelet) is such a funky item with a sleek design. You can twist and turn this necklet any way you like. I love Shecky's because you can get some awesome pieces before anyone else. You have to check out Jewelry Bakery!

Tip #1
Check out piece that are versatile. Go for items that you can wear to work and after! This will be good for your look and your budget!

Cocktails, Headbands, and Bags--Oh My!

I was sipping on my free glass of Midori Spirit Awakening (which was so good!)when I saw some cute head accessories from Elle Belle by Yaelle Designs. These headbands were too cute. You know I had to buy one right. My budget went right out the window. I was happy that I got a great price! It was $28(including tax)! It is blue and white beaded headband. I thought it would be great for my future nuptials! You know, something blue! The vendors were so nice at Elle Belle by Yaelle Designs!

Here is a picture of me with my headband on. How cute is this?!

(This is my fiancée in an Elle Belle by Yaelle Designs. He is too silly for words!)

So after I saw some great vendors like EyeSave (Side Note: they had some fab designer sunglasses for super cheap!) and various fashion designers. I made my way towards Nanette by Paul Aude. I have one word to describe these handbags-Wonderful! I would have brought this one but my money was looking a bit funny and that bag was not in my little budget. Shame on me for not buying this bag. This bag is such a fashion moment! The bag is all leather with antique coins on it!

Tip #2
If you see a staple item for your closet. Get it; you never know if you will see it again.

Buying and Beauty

So, after I got some great buys and some great cocktails! My attention was trendy rings! What is a wardrobe without a ring? You know I had to buy them. I could not pass them up especially since it was buy one get the second one 50%off! I can never pass up a good sale. So I brought two fashion forward rings for $35! Two rings for $35 is definitely in my budget! This sale was exclusive to all that were at the Shecky's Beauty Night Out Event. Love Michael Day Jewelry, great work for a great price!

Shecky's Beauty Night Out was a fun filled night! I have to say one of the best shopping deals especially beauty products. I find a great company called Armour Beauty. They have a cute Opaque lip Gloss called Last Dance, is a rich plum color, great shade for a night out. What better time than to buy this at Shecky's Beauty Night Out! There were tons of beauty products like Yes To Carrots, Neutrogena Cosmetics, Johnson and Johnson, and Noah's Naturals! Check out my Last Dance Lip Gloss by Armour Beauty.

Take home Prize!
I almost forgot the best part, the goodie bag! It was load with all type of things that girls wanted and needed. This goodie bag include everything from Philosophy High Foaming Daily cleaner to Lindt Chocolates. The goodie bag is valued up to $125! Trust me it is pack with all types of fab products!
