Backstage Nails: NYFW Michael Costello SS'17

Rita Remark created the nail look for using one of my favorite nail brands essie for Michael Costello's SS'17 runway show. The inspiration was the relationship between the light and dark side of femininity using signature shades Good As Gold and Sole Mate.

If you love doing your nails like I do here is a break down of how you can achieve this beauty look from the runway ladies!

1. Start by applying a base coat 2. Apply the fabulous Good As Gold polish 3. Use a latex makeup wedge apply Good As Gold and Sole Mate together horizontally on the wedge, blend them together lightly. 4. Tap the wedge into nails and create a soft ombre look.
If you have any mess ups always use your q-tip and nail polish remover and start again.

Backstage Nails: NYFW Jonathan Simkhai FW'16

The nail look varies on the models, it was a combination of a few of my go to shades from the brand. It was neutral with a twist of navy and some edge. You can play up the look in many fun options to make a statement.

Runway inspiration:

Warm cozy knits in shades of navy, light blue, white, beige and ivory are featured prominently in Jonathan Simkhai’s Fall/Winter 2016 runway show. To carry this sentiment through to the nails, Rita Remark for essie chose coordinating shades find me an oasis, wrap me up, all eyes on nudes, marshmallow and midnight cami on nails. To enhance the cozy feeling she applied matte about you, and then used gel.setter top coat to create a textured cable knit sweater design as an accent on the middle and ring fingers.
