The NightSpell collection by CND is full of pretty shades that you will want to rock every single one. I love the shades with the ombre and shimmer glitz effect so pretty for fall into the winter season. I have definitely played around mixing shades together because they go so well. I enjoy trying the CND Vinylux product because it's a weekly step and it allows me to try other shades within a short time frame. Backstage Access: NYFW CND at The Blonds SS'18

The backstage scene was live and in full effect at The Blonds SS'18 it was truly a fun and vibrant party. I was able to get the beauty scoop on the nail creations from CND Founder and Style Director Jan Arnold. The nails for this seasons runway show is encrusted with so much sparkles, glow in the dark elements and perfect hand painting art. It was super fabulous to see the nails up close before the show. Backstage Nails: NYFW Libertine SS'18

When it comes to fashion forward nails CND always delivers something unique and different on the runway. This time for Libertine SS"18 the level of sparkles, jewels and dramatic elements were in full force.

 I was able to get a closeup while CND creative nail artists were in action. The CND design lab displayed an array of nails that were going to be showcased for Libertine's runway show. I was totally impressed and in awe with this seasons over the top styles. Founder and Style Director Jan Arnold was on hand to give me the rundown on her favorite look, how the CND brand makes a statement and the amount of hours these pro nail artists put into their craft.

Backstage Nails: NYFW CND with Jan Arnold

When it comes to creativity this brand does it like no other. Every season CND (Creative Nail Design) pushes the button by creating high fashion styles, eye catching elements and a story within their nails. Co-Founder and Style Director Jan Arnold, is passionate about telling the full story when it comes to the designs on the runway. It's all about paying attention to the details which makes the whole runway experience complete.

The inspiration was all about Romanian Gypsies with playful trends in floral, fringe, embroidery, tassel, metallic and more. The craftsmanship to get the nail styles completely iconic took over 400 hours to do. Which is amazing because it shows the huge effort the brand puts in each designer showcase they collaborate with.  The man behind Libertine Johnson Hartiq brings that playful vibe in his design so the dynamic duo of CND go hand and hand.

“This is our sixth season collaborating with Johnson on the Libertine show, and we could not be more thrilled with the outcome,” said CND Co-founder and Style Director Jan Arnold. “With mutual respect and creative trust at the foundation of this partnership, we’ve built a colorfully diverse world of our own, taking the raw beauty of hand-craftsmanship and translating it into something refined and precious for the nail.”

When it comes to New York Fashion Week, CND is my favorite because its always something exciting and new, you won't every get bored with what they come up with. I just wished I could have left there with rockstar nails just like the models, maybe next season Jan.

“CND’s nails are unlike anything else out there on the runway,” said Hartig. “Every season, I think we can’t take it any further, and then we do! They continue to blow my mind with their artistry again and again...it’s breathtaking.”

Backstage Nails: NYFW Jeremy Scott FW'17

The hottest show that was trending all over social media was Jeremy Scott last night it created a full buzz. With so much focus on the runway collection we have to focus in on the nail trend which color was fiery. This season was the official kickoff of CND’s partnership with new Creative Ambassador and long-time Jeremy Scott collaborator, Miss Pop. Miss Pop led the charge backstage alongside CND Co-founder & Style Director Jan Arnold.

It took three simple layers: a base of VINYLUX™ Weekly Polish in Banana Clips, followed by a layer of Electric Orange, topped with a layer of Wildfire. Some models’ nails were further embellished with hand-painted gold stars reminiscent of the world-renowned Hollywood Walk of Fame.

“This look is all about playful showbiz glitz,” said Miss Pop. “Over a fiery red nail, I added graphic gold stars –rising up the nails, boldly standing front and center, and co-starring in corners. It's an element that takes that aspirational glamour of LA and makes it DIY." Great trend that makes a statement and perfect for some creative edge in your wardrobe.

Backstage Nails: NYFW Libertine SS'17

 

 

 

 

CND, the pioneers of nail artistry at Fashion Week, created 25 show-stopping nail designs for the Libertine Spring/Summer 2017 collection. The throwback to the 1970s and ‘80s theme gave a more updated look with fierce elements and boldness. Spring 2017 channels a retro futurist spirit, paying homage to iconic style with an edgy twist.

 

 

CND Design Lab Team put in nearly 300 combined hours to produce the handcrafted nail looks. Featuring a vibrant range of Spring 2017 CND™ SHELLAC™ Brand 14+ Day Nail Color and VINYLUX™ Weekly Polish shades. Some models donned sets embellished with seed beads, graphic 3D shingles, neon studs, tassels and golden chains, while others rocked nails with the words “Chic as Hell,” mirroring a pair of hot pink leggings from the Libertine collection.

 

 

 

Among the more unconventional looks were flocked nails reminiscent of oversized fuzzy slippers. Even Johnson’s beloved rescue dogs, Pocket and Terence, made an appearance on the runway, masterfully sculpted with RETENTION+™ Liquid & Powder. Each model wore a split-style mani featuring a completely different look on each hand for a clash of high-contrast texture and color. Think “tough and fluff” or “smooth and rough.”

 

 

“These nails are a punk rock collage like you’ve never seen before,” said Libertine designer Johnson Hartig. “The inventiveness of the CND team blows my mind every single season. They continue to push the boundaries of artistry and I’m so grateful for this partnership.”

More shades for the season means more nail lacquers to try! I have more shades from CND and I wanted to share the current hot colors that bring the summer heat. I gave you the scoop on this brand before so you know that it's high quality. And if you get your nails treated at the salon this is usually the product the nail technicians are using.
