Trends Buzz: 5 Backpacks To Rock

Backpacks are very trendy this season, the style is great for the trendsetter and working moms too. You can find a variety of looks to get on trend and also allow you to be fashionable at the same time. Below are a few new styles that are also very transitional, wearable and feminine.

Danielle Nicole
Sloane Backpack $88
This backpack incorporates the croc trend and is very transitional for all use. I love this look with a burgundy sweater coat or simple navy jumpsuit.

A fringed style is worth buying into to make your look dressier and chatter worthy. Love the woven detailing on the side, Match it with a cute plaid shirt and gorgeous cowboy boots.

                                                                     Canvas Backpack $42
The leopard trend is on fire and I love this backpack for adding some edge to all black outfits. Rock it also with a stylish Moto jacket.

This is a lightweight style perfect for the college student and sophisticated for
those open toe booties. Make it glamorous with a statement necklace an d bold lip.

                                                              Quilted Love' Backpack $375
Love the quilted vibe of this, perfect for a trench coat and over the knee boots. Great splurge item too.

Backstage Nails: NYFW essie at Stacey Bendet

Runway inspiration:
Stacey Bendet’s Spring/Summer 2015 presentation was heavily influenced by the beauty of Versailles, and included a whimsical mixture of daytime and evening looks. Inspired by colors seen throughout the fabrics, Rita Remark for essie created three different nail options to directly coincide with the collection. Shades included a custom soft lilac, a soft peach and a vibrant coral.

essie nail products used:

ridge filling base coat,  go ginza, limo-scene , resort fling ,tart deco , good to go top coat
Get the look (hands):

1. Apply ridge filling base coat to clean, filed nails
2. Next, apply either one coat of go ginza and one coat of limo-scene to create the perfect soft lilac shade, two coats of resort fling, or two coats of tart deco, depending on desired color (note: models wore different nail shades based on garment selection)
3. Follow with good to go top coat
Get the look (feet; not pictured): 1. Apply ridge filling base coat to clean, filed nails

Backstage Nails: NYFW essie at Rebecca Minkoff

Runway inspiration:

Inspired by Rebecca Minkoff’s unique 3D prints and color scheme, Michelle Saunders for essie created freehand watercolor nail art for the hands. Similar to a watercolor painting, each nail serves as a unique piece of art that intertwines with the collection. For the toes, Michelle chose bikini so teeny to complement the colors found throughout the garments.

The style is young, fresh and has that beachy vibe. Perfect combo for a mini vacation beauty look.

first base base coat
blanc
bikini so teeny
turquoise & caicos
lollipop
good to go top coat

Get the look (hands):

1. Apply one coat of blanc to make the polish shades appear
brighter

2. Beginning at the nail bed, apply one coat of bikini so teeny
to half of the nail

3. Next, apply one coat of turquoise & caicos to the
remaining half of the nail, slightly overlapping with bikini
so teeny in the middle
4. Next, dip a striping brush in lollipop and create a thin
horizontal fault line across each nail (do this step to one
hand at a time, as the red polish needs to be wet in order
to create the watercolor effect)
5. Directly after creating the fault line, apply a generous

amount of good to go top coat over the entire nail;
continue to blend towards the tip of the nail until the
desired look is achieved

*Expert tip: a base coat is not necessary when creating nail art that consists of several layers of polish; it will make the polish too thick and extremely hard to work with.
