Physicians Formula kicked off their sexy, smart and radiant event last night at The Hotel Giraffe, in NYC. The rooftop buzzed with beauty products in bronzers, lip glosses, blushes and their new skincare line for maintaining that youthful glow. Geri Lieberman, Associate Vice President, of Marketing at Physicians Formula talked about the brand catering to women’s needs, Celebrity Makeup Artist Joanna Schlip worked her magic on the models while incorporating looks that were sexy, smart and radiant and Dr. Meghan O’Brien talked about the key ingredients  in the skincare line and how you can benefit from it.

Q+A with Makeup Artist Joanna Schlip

Fall Beauty Tips
Professional Makeup Artist Joanna Schlip work has graced the covers of the most prestigious magazines, cutting edge editorials, runways, and fashion advertising from coast to coast.  She shares with us a few Fall Beauty Tips that will make our beauty routine look flawless this season.

What are the top beauty essentials for the fall season? 
This season you’ll see a lot of color, but the colors will be softer and lighter.  There will be less of a focus on lashes and less smoky looks.  Lips will be one of two things – soft with orange and pink or bold with crimson.
What tips can you give to achieve a simple flawless look?
Instead of foundation, opt for a tinted moisturizer, but don’t go more than one shade darker than your natural skin tone.  Use a powdered bronzer to create a natural sun-kissed look.  Pick a shimmer or matte bronzer, but be careful where you place.  With a matte bronzer, use the “3” shape to hit the forehead, under the cheek bone and under the jaw.  With a luminous bronzer, use it on the cheek bone, bridge of nose, and brow bone.  Curl lashes and use one coat of mascara.  As for color, use products that contain any tones that are in your skin. For the eyes – earth tones like sands, taupes, and browns.  For cheeks, look for something in between peach and pink. For lips, use a sheer gloss. It’s also important to pay attention to brows, and make sure they are groomed.  Groomed brows make you look more finished but still natural.

Are bronzers still a must have product for the fall?
Yes!  It’s when you need it the most. You want to look healthier. It will give skin a little bit of warmth. Be sure to lighten it from the shade you use during the summer.

What colors are huge in beauty for the upcoming season? 
For eyes you’ll be seeing iridescent pinks, titanium, ice blues, green/yellows and soft orange/rose.  Lips are going soft with orange/pink or deep with crimson.

Events: Physicians Formula Bronzer Launch w/ Celebrity Makeup Artist Joanna Schlip

I attended Physicians Formula Beauty Event in NYC and it was all about BRONZERS! Their new product Bronze Booster Glowing Booster Sun Stones gives the skin a glowing boost with its sun stones which contains vitamins and much needed moisturizers. The Booster will cost you $14.95 and it comes in two shades Light to Medium and Medium to Dark. The great thing about this splurge is its also amazing for enhancing your tan and natural glow.
My first impression was the detailing of the packaging, its very luxurious it comes with a mirror, a bronzer brush and puff which is super smooth on the skin. It’s the perfect size to fit in a clutch or a huge handbag!


Celebrity Makeup Artist Joanna Schlip was on site to give bronzing tips on how to achieve that fabulous glow, she has worked with top celebrities like Jennifer Lopez, Sheryl crow, Hilary Duff, Eva Longoria, Jessica Simpson and her clientele goes on.

INSIDE THE BRONZERS
 Bronze Booster pressed powder is a glowing pressed powder with light coverage.
 Happy Booster gives the skin a glowing effect and the coverage is light to medium.
Bronze Booster Glowing Boost Shimmer Powder, light coverage and looks so glamorous with its sliding brush and mirror included.     Cashmere Wear it’s an ultra smooth bronzer very light coverage.
The Powder Palette, Magic Mosaic and my favorite the Summer Eclipse are both sheer coverage the palettes have other shades in the color scheme while the eclipse gives off a golden shimmer.
Bamboo Silk gives light to medium coverage and gives an airbrush finish.
These are the bronzers that give off a soft glow.   Shimmer Strips is from light to medium coverage and you can rock it for an all over face look, on the eyes or cheeks. (This is the compact that Joanna Schlip was using in video) The Powder Palette below with the Mineral Glow Pearls is very gorgeous. The coverage on this is light to medium with a radiant glow!
