The behind the scenes vibe at Prabal Gurung FW'17 collection was all about the nail craze from JINsoon.

How To Get The Look

Apply JINsoon Power Coat Base Coat

Draw a horizontal straight line across the middle of the nail using any one of these shades JINsoon Grace, JINsoon Toff or JINsoon shade of nude will be available Fall 2017

Using the shade of your choice apply two coats, fill in from the line to the tip of the nail

Apply two coats of JINsoon Top Gloss Top Coat for a high shine finish it will help make the nail smooth.

Halloween Nails: JINsoon Swirling Ghost Style

Create the "Swirling Ghost" Halloween nail look from Jin Soon Choi, founder of the JINsoon Nail Lacquer line and JINsoon Hand & Foot Spas in NYC. 

Swirling Ghost Nail Art
Step 1: Apply JINsoon Power Coat
**Note: If you would like to create this design on each nail, do so one at a time, as the steps below have to be done while the polish wet!**
Step 2: Apply 2 coats of JINsoon Enflammee

Step 3: While Enflammee is still wet apply a few dots of JINsoon Obsidian at random

Step 4: Repeat Step 3 with JINsoon Doux

Step 5: Using a striping brush, drag across all three shades in swirling motion to create the marble effect

Wait for this to dry before applying a top coat so the look doesn't smudge
Step 6: Apply JINsoon Top Gloss to finish this look.

The inspiration behind this collection

 

Originating in the nineteenth century, giving name to the female version of the dandy, a man unduly devoted to style. Dandizettes commonly used their appearances as a form of expression to rebel against the expected, adding a fun twist to traditional women's fashion. This concept inspired Jin Soon Choi to create the fall collection of five distinctive shades.  Each shade is rich yet restrained and abundant in pigmentation, certainly making a statement in true Dandizette fashion.

Labor Day Nails: JINSoon

 

 

It's the Labor Day weekend, time for the last days of summer. Add a fun beauty activity for your holiday as you chill pool side using JINsoon lacquers.

 

How-To:

Step 1: Apply a base coat like JINsoon Power Coat

Step 2: Using JINsoon Doux, draw a V-shape narrowing towards the base of the nail. Use a striping brush to create the outline and then proceed to fill it in on each finger.

Step 3-4: Using a striping brush, draw interchanging lines using JINsoon Cool Blue and Coquete on the shape from step 2.

 

 

Step 5: Apply a glossy top coat like JINsoon Top Gloss to finish your look!

Nails: Mother's Day

How-To:

Step 1: Apply a base coat like JINsoon Power Coat

 

 

Step 2: Draw a circle using JINsoon Vanity (from Goop Classics 2 set) starting from the base of the nail and ending it at a little below the center mark

 

Step 3: Draw a half circle at the tip of the nail using JINsoon Audacity (from Goop Classics 2 set) starting from the tip of the nail and end it before the center point

 

Step 4: Fill in the space between two circles with JINsoon Demure (from Goop Classics 1 set).

 

Step 5: Apply a high gloss topcoat like JINsoon Top Gloss

Nail Review + Giveaway: JINsoon + GOOP Nail Lacquers

 

 As much as I showcase JINsoon nail tutorials pictures on the blog it was only right that I pamper you all with a beauty review and fabulous giveaway! JINsoon  and the brand Goop (founder is Gwyneth Paltrow) has a fun nail lacquer set which debuted the end of last year. It my previous post on this collaboration it features two signature sets called Classics 1 and Classics 2 $48 Limited Edition.

Nails: Easter Styles

 

Make your Easter day fun with this nail tutorial add it in as a pamper day for you and your girlfriends or daughter.

 

Egg Shell Nails:

 

Step 1: Apply a base coat like JINsoon Power Coat to prep the nails

Step 2: Apply 2 coats of JINsoon Kookie White to each nail

Steps 3-7: Using a thin brush draw intersecting lines, the color order is up to you. For this look we used JINsoon Charme on the pinky, JINsoon Poppy Blue on the ring finger, JINsoon Farouche on the middle finger, JINsoon Tila on the index finger and JINsoon Dolly Pink on the thumb

Step 8: Apply a top coat like JINsoon Top Gloss to complete the look

 

Easter Egg Nails:

 

Step 1: Apply a base coat like JINsoon Power Coat to prep the nails

Step 2: Apply 2 coats of JINsoon Doux to each nail

Step 3: Using JINsoon Farouche draw a "M" shape at the cuticle and fill it in, reverse the shape at the free edge

Step 4: Repeat Step 3 for all of the nails

Step 5: Using a thin brush, draw a fine line mimicking the "M" shapes you created with Steps 3 and 4

Step 6: Apply a top coat like JINsoon Top Gloss to complete the look

1. File and clean nails, removing all traces of polish or grease residue

3. Apply two coats of JINsoon Heirloom, a metallic turquoise blue

4. Finish by applying a single coat of JINsoon Top Gloss

Nails: JINsoon

Planning on adding some fierce vibes to your nails on V-day? This would be a fun DIY trend to add to your look. Find out the nail buzz on this look using JINsoon.

 

Step 1: Apply a base coat like JINsoon Power Coat

Step 2: Apply a pale pink nude (Jin gives a sneak peak of Doux from her upcoming SS15 collection!) by drawing a zig zag line closer to the center of the nail and filling it in to the tip. (You should end up with what looks like two rectangles of different sizes joined together)

Step 3: Using JINsoon Coral Peony, trace over the zig zag above the first one. (Make sure to leave enough negative space at the cuticle line)

Step 4: Using JINsoon Coquette, draw hearts at the pale pink layer (or you can use shimmer stickers at the craft store).

Step 5: Apply a glossy top coat like JINsoon Top Gloss to finish the look
