How far would you go to stand by your man?
In the news today the "Craiglist Killer" (Philip Markoff) is a scandalous crime that will eventually be a huge movie one day.
But the woman behind the man who is allegedly the person who has committed these awful crimes is sticking by him because of???
Megan McAllister, Philip's fiancee is sticking by her man. "To me and my family, he is a loving and caring person and in the eyes of the law and the constitution, he is innocent until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt," she said in a statement Monday. "I just can only hope that the criminal justice system will not be overwhelmed and persuaded by what is being put forth in the media."
I'm sure he was that person to her and her family but he was definitely living a double life. There are many relationships that go on for years and secrets are kept that couples never find out about. Some are minor and can be dealt with while others are so damaging that there isn't anything that both parties could do to repair it.
Philip Markoff has been charged with the murder of a woman and the assault of another, both in Boston hotels. In a new twist, there's an allegation that he also used Craigslist to seek out men as well as women for sexual activities.
Sounds extra damaging if the evidence proves that he is guilty. Megan did make a statement through her attorney and she claims her life has changed dramatically since the story broke. She also says she will continue to support him through this legal process.
Not sure if this is a good idea but whatever he gut is telling her I hope she is listening.
