The Makeup Show in NYC was two weeks ago and it was a blast as usual. I was able to see some new brands, rack up on my favorites and capture a ton of behind the scenes footage. This post will feature items that were purchased by me as well as gifted in my press bag.

SkinForum at The Makeup Show NYC 2018

When it comes to skincare Kbeauty is killing it in the beauty game. The rise of keeping your skin regimen on point has become a major factor to the beautynista's of the world. Skincare has always been an important element in my life thanks to my mom when she first introduced me to facials as a teen.

From that moment I was one that craved skincare over cosmetics because I loved the natural glow that my skin had. While at The Makeup Show I came across the brand SkinForum and was curious to see what made their facials one of the top picks in Kbeauty.

Amika at The Makeup Show NYC 2018

It's all about hair care when it comes to the brand Amika. As a newbie to the brand I was excited to find out why it was the hot spot during The Makeup Show in NYC. The women were packed at their booth and indulging in their wide variety of popular products! Their booth was bold with color and full of life and a hairstylist was on hand to give your locks that glam treatment.

I was also able to scoop up their much talked about products the dry conditioner Silken Up and their dry shampoo Perk Up  which have a ton of positive reviews. Can't wait to give you ladies the run down on these two items once I try them out!

Veil Cosmetics at The Makeup Show NYC 2018

If you're looking for soothing and hydrating makeup for your skincare needs check out Veil Cosmetics. Creator and Co-Founder Sebastien Tardif shared insight on his cosmetics line and the benefits that it provides versus other beauty brands out there while at The Makeup Show in NYC.

Two  "IT" signature products from Veil Cosmetics is their Sunset Light Primer and Complexion Fix Concealer which are highly recommended. The raves have been that these products are hydrating, weightless and offer amazing coverage. I personally can't wait to try them out for myself so stay tuned for my review.

Mehron at The Makeup Show NYC 2018

The fun brand Mehron was in the building at The Makeup Show again this year! It's always a pleasure to catch up and see what new products they will launch.Their color palettes are fabulous and rich in color and is perfect for those that are makeup artists looking to work in film and television. The pigments are always so bold and true to color and the quality is fierce.

This season it was all about their Sweet and Spicy Palettes, the super gorgeous Echo Glitter Pressed Palette, the Highlight Pro 3 Color Palette (which I now have) and the signature Liquid Vinyl. All these products are great to try for a glam look or special occasion!

I finally was able to get my interview with  blackUp this year at The Makeup Show in NYC. Again this year it was filled with customers eager to buy their fun bold shades and pigmented products. They have a ton of fabulous well packaged merchandise, their bronzer palette is a best seller and the rave now is on their new brushes that have hit the market as well. Even though their all the way from France this brand is here to stay, check out the beauty buzz below.

Eye Kandy Cosmetics was back at The Makeup Show NYC and they have new shades that are gorgeous for special occasions as well as late night outings. Of course I picked up some shades because their so fabulous and sparkly and for $5 how could I not. Check out the beauty on these new Glitters below.

The Makeup Show: Gleam by Melanie Mills

I am all about that flawless skin and with summer approaching every woman wants to look and feel that same way. While at The Makeup Show in NYC a man behind the booth of the product Gleam was trying to get my attention on the products showcased. I decided to see what he was raving about and I was in awe. That's when I was introduced to Melanie Mills owner of Gleam. She has been in the beauty industry working in film, television which includes Dancing with the Stars and shared her beauty tips are featured in top magazines like Vogue, InStyle, Essence and more. She gave me the beauty buzz on her amazing products that are luxurious for getting a beautiful glow and that looks untouchable. Check out my video interview below!
