Women’s Issues: What Women Love About Their Bodies

Here is a topic you clearly don’t see everyday usually it’s the other way around. Body image plays a huge role in the lives of all women, whether in the way we dress, what we see on the television, walking down the street, at our jobs and definitely in our social circles. We allow it to take over our minds in a negative way that we begin to dislike or some well say “hate” every aspect of our bodies. Sure there are things we can improve by eating the right foods, adding a simple workout schedule in our already hectic lives, or the most extreme going under the knife. But at the end of the day it’s really what we think of ourselves. We all have a special characteristic that allows us to stand out from the crowd from our hair, culture, personality, style, size etc.… We should embrace who we are and not look to the person on our left or right and wish that we could be like them. But instead be inspired by what you like about them and try to add a small piece of it into your lifestyle so it’s right for you.

Just this once, block out everything negative you think about your body and come up with a handful of things you love about your body?

Here’s mine:

Since be diagnosed with Rheumatoid Arthritis I have gained weight from my medications and it has caused me to put the weight on fast. From being 103lbs to now 122lbs in a 3 month time frame my added weight brings on chubby cheeks on my face, a double chin when I eat too much bread, a well bloated look in my tummy and a curvier bottom. At the end of the day I have to control my situation and not let it get off track to a place that it will cause me to be unhappy. That is never a option because happiness brings life to our world. So I switched up buying the craving foods at the grocery store, squeeze in a workout that’s not excessive but comfortable for my own pace and keep a positive surrounding and clear mind. With that basic regimen I have actually embraced my extra weight on my thighs and love the fact that when I do get in a pair of jeans or in a dress I see beautiful curves that I love.
