Q: What is the best brush to use for your eyes?

Jenny Smith: The Number 3 brush is great. We at NARS say that the number 3 brush has more than three uses. You can use this brush all over and this brush is great for blending.

Q: What is the best way to do a Smokey eye?

Jenny Smith: The best way to do a smokey eye is to start with a lighter color and build up to a darker color. Start with a light base such as a white or gold and build it up with another darker color.

Q: What is the best way to make you lips look fuller?

Jenny Smith: The best way to make your lips look full by using our lip liner Tonga all over your lip. Tonga Lip liner helps to give a fuller look and you can add any lipstick to give your lips a longer wear.

Q: What is the best way to put on eyeliner?

Jenny Smith: I like eyeliner pencils. I suggest that you use a smudge brush with any eyeliner pencil. If you are looking a great line for your eyes and you are not an expert than check out the smudge brush. The smudge brush is also great applying eye shadow near the lash line for smokey effect.

Q: Do you have any product great for the summer time?

Jenny Smith: You should check out our Makeup Primer with SPF. NARS Makeup Primer with SPF has UVA and UVB rays protection with a combined SPF 20! The best thing about this primer is that it prevents your foundation or bronzer from changing color. Did I mention that this primer provides hydrates for smoother skin!

Q: How do you make you lashes long and luxurious?

Jenny Smith: You should use an eyelash curler. NARS eye lash curler gives you a natural curl. The best way to use an eyelash curler is to use your bathroom mirror on the wall; lean you head back slightly so you can see the base of your lashes. Make sure the curler is as close to the base of the lash, by the eyelid, as possible. Give a gentle three-count pull halfway out on the lash than another gentle curl.

Q: What you want a nude lip, what is the best NARS product to use.

Jenny Smith: I would use the NARS Flabella Lipstick. This lipstick has a high-shine bronzy rose lipstick. The Tonga Lip Liner and the NARS Belize lip-gloss are great for a nude lip without the lipstick. I love the Belize lip-gloss because the color. This pale pink sprinkled with a gold shimmer. You can make no mistake with these lip colors.

Q: What do you need to get a perfect daytime look?

Jenny Smith: You need 5 things for your quick everyday look. I would do the NARS Powder foundation with SPF, The Makeup primer with SPF, NARS Multiple Bronzer, Mascara, and Belize lip-gloss. NARS Multiple Bronzer is great because it can be used on the eyes, lips, cheeks, and body. I would call these Nars Products the Fab 5!

Q: What is the best brush to use when using a powder?

Jenny Smith: If you were using a loose powder, I would use a makeup puff. The best way to use a makeup puff, use it in a rock and roll motion. A Makeup puff is great for filling in the pores. I would use the NARS Kabuki Artisan Botan Brush. This brush gives a great airbrush feel and look.

Q: What is a great liquid foundation to use?

Jenny Smith: Check out the New Firming Foundation from NARS. It is actually a treatment foundation. It’s like having a skin treatment and a makeup all in one. Just one pumps into the palm of your hand, warm the foundation with your fingertips. The firming foundation has a Polypeptide Firming formula. This helps firm, lifts the skin, and relaxes the facial muscles. Always apply liquid foundation with your fingers. Start from the center of your face and move outward. This foundation gives your skin a fresh even look. This firming foundation allows you to be you at your best.

Q: What question are you asked the most recently?

Jenny Smith: What is new for the season? We are at a transition time. It is cold one minute and Hot the next. So right now we are trying to get everyone ready for the new season. We have a few other suggestions from NARS for this season. They are the Scorching Sun Duo Eye shadow, Tropic Single Eye shadow, Outsider Lipstick, and the Adelita nail polish.

Q: What is the expiration date for makeup?

Jenny Smith: This is a great question. Many people do not know when to let go of their make up. Once you open your makeup you have 1 year than it is time to throw it away. If you see a change of color or smell especially with skin care or liquid makeup like liquid foundation that would be a good time to let it go! The same goes for lipstick. Lipstick will change taste and color.

Q: What is the best way to clean their makeup brushes?

Jenny Smith: Good makeup brushes can last up to 5 to 10 years if you take good care of them. Buy a good bag for them. Wash out your brushes with baby shampoo once a week. Rinse them clean. Lay them flat on a towel and let the brushes dry over night. In the morning your brushes are ready to go.

Other great tips from Jenny Smith

• Use natural light to put on you makeup. Open your bathroom window and let the natural light come in. No special makeup mirrors needed unless you have vision issues and you need a magnifying mirror.

Thank you so much Jenny Smith for this interview. Glitterbuzzstyle would also like to thank Julia Carmona, Global Communications Assistant for NARS Cosmetics, for setting up this interview
