If you're thinking of going out with some friends this weekend check out the word on these two trendy places.
Here are some reviews so far:
Level V: strict door policy, $11 cocktails, DJ spins hip-hop, reggae, and house, small dance floor, gorgeous men and woman and great service.
Sol: seating is limited, pretty venue, DJ spins a mix of everything but mostly house, very stylish crowd and can get very crowded.
Fridays at Level V Address: 675 Hudson @ 14th Street
Sexy Saturdays at Sol Address: 609 West 29th Street (btwn 11th and 12th)

please do not go to level v...it sucked big time and so did sol....
I went to Sol once and I had a great time for about 2 hours and than the music killed everything. DJ kept teasing you with hip-hop beats while playing house music. That was the only problem I had!

i dont know i heard sol was pretty tight
sol doesn't play that great of mix
