Backstage Nails: NYFW Essie + Naeem Khan

A flirty mix of red and pinks were the signature nail look at Naeem Khan’s runway show. Essie polish shades A-list and Sugar Daddy were the key colors which are amazing for all seasons and captures a true feminine vibe. The manicure looked popped with red and the toes added a soft pretty pale focus.

It was the end of fashion week and Naeem Khan had an Asian inspired collection, with belts, and brightly coloured embroideries.

Now as I was sitting down looking at some of the photos I noticed that Khan presented asymmetrical dresses, bell-bottoms, and florals pieces that his clientele will love. Khan is now one of my favorite designers, he excels at creating the most luxurious red carpet gowns. I was told that Khan really sets his self apart from the other designers, which I find to be true.

I loved the silver/orange strapless gown with the sequined bodice, and pink metallic number. With the Emmy's coming up, hopefully we will see one of these dresses on the red carpet.

Celebrity appearances at the show

Sanaa Lathan surely stood out in the front row, wearing a lime green plunge neck dress.

Aubrey O'Day stood out for a different reason...looking ridiculous.

What are those black things on her legs? And why does she need to bring her pooch to Fashion Week? *eye-roll* Someone please get this girl a napkin to wipe off some of that black eye makeup

I am not a fan of gowns at Fashion Week, as I don't think it is the right place to wear them, so I think Ashanti gets it so wrong here. But I do like the jeweled detailed dress itself.
