Where's the Originality

I love the fact that we can admire someone's style but to copy their look is another issue.

The only singer out right now that has the edgy original quality is Rihanna, she may not be the greatest singer but her look is what grabs our attention. So it doesn't surprise me that others want to mimic her but where's their ORIGINALITY.

I'm tired of the copycat hairstyles and black on back gear, knee high buckle/strap boots etc... Why are many celebs trying so hard to be like other celebs when they need to find an image that works well for them. Is it just me?

It was the end of fashion week and Naeem Khan had an Asian inspired collection, with belts, and brightly coloured embroideries.

Now as I was sitting down looking at some of the photos I noticed that Khan presented asymmetrical dresses, bell-bottoms, and florals pieces that his clientele will love. Khan is now one of my favorite designers, he excels at creating the most luxurious red carpet gowns. I was told that Khan really sets his self apart from the other designers, which I find to be true.

I loved the silver/orange strapless gown with the sequined bodice, and pink metallic number. With the Emmy's coming up, hopefully we will see one of these dresses on the red carpet.

Celebrity appearances at the show

Sanaa Lathan surely stood out in the front row, wearing a lime green plunge neck dress.

Aubrey O'Day stood out for a different reason...looking ridiculous.

What are those black things on her legs? And why does she need to bring her pooch to Fashion Week? *eye-roll* Someone please get this girl a napkin to wipe off some of that black eye makeup

I am not a fan of gowns at Fashion Week, as I don't think it is the right place to wear them, so I think Ashanti gets it so wrong here. But I do like the jeweled detailed dress itself.

How great does Ashanti and Nelly look? Yes as we all know the stars were dressed to impress for Bets 8Th annual award show. Soon I will have all the best dressed, but I definitely want to compliment these two ahead of time. The two of them showed up at a L.A's hot spot just before the show. Nelly looking good in a dark suit with a white spotted button up shirt. Then theirs his girl wearing a strapless magenta long gown. The yellow nails? YES! My favorite color is just all over the celebrity world.

And some shocking news a source says Nelly proposed to Ashanti at the BET Awards. That would come to me as no surprise they've been together long enough.

Ashanti did her thing at MTV's TRL, she rocked a cute pony tail, huge hoops that were fire! That top is screaming summer and give me full attention. The shorts you already know.

But I am a little bit tired of seeing her in short shorts now, it was hot in a couple of photos, yes her legs look great but can we move on to another trend from you!

Ashanti showed us she still has that IT factor after performing on stage with Ja Rule on Good Morning America. She looked fabulous and she did her thing to the fullest. I think her album might top the charts. I love the curly hair on her as well a great hair trend for the hot weather!

Ashanti is in full promotional mode, her album dropped yesterday and I maybe interested in purchasing after hearing a few tracks. She styled up her fashion as her and Wendy Williams were there to ring the bell at NYSE! Wow how exciting!

Ashanti looks classic in this black dress, I love her hair black and not a mix of colors combined. She looks very natural this way and sexy!

She also did a mini promo gig at Planet Hollywood in Times Square!

And gave a hot performance at the Virgin Megastore, as she sizzled in those short shorts.
