Runway: NYFW Vivienne Hu SS'20

This season Vivienne Hu was back at Spring Studios for her Spring/Summer 2020 collection and it was fabulous!
Singer Elle Varner hit the runway stage and had the crowd vibing as the models graced the runway. The collection had many highs in style with flowing fabrics that were rich in colors, sheer details and metallic elements. Hu, continues to showcase a wide style of feminine designs touching the lifestyles of every woman which I adore!

Even though the focus should be mainly on the clothes, Hu catches your attention with her remarkable placement of stylish footwear. Each style is set from from head to toe giving one a winning look.

One unsettling feature during the runway show was the audio production. The singers voices were so powerful that you paid more attention to them instead of allowing the models to own the spotlight. It would have been more enjoyable for them to end the show with the singers and the models during final walk.

Either way Vivienne Hu continues to bring her fashion A game to the runway. She remains unstoppable!

Designer Vivienne Hu 

I enjoy watching a Vivienne Hu runway show because the collection usually is a hit from the beginning til the end. Her Fall/Winter 2019 collection (inspired by Alice in Wonderland) didn't give me the showstopping vibe that I was anticipating this season. The production was held at a venue off site and it lacked the stage presence that her brand represents. The collection featured furs that were fashion worthy when it came to outerwear style, the shoes the models wore craved so much fabulous attention but not the garments so much. There were a few that were really staple pieces mixed with casual and over the top dresses. It wasn't a hit for me like her other collections, I wanted more and it didn't give me that. I am hoping that in September she will come back with her A-list style and showcase back at the Shows. She is a true talented designer but this season wasn't one of her best for me.

THE SHOWS

Once again this designer makes dressing up extra fabulous. With the mixes of fur blended in everyday and glam wear it's a totally look. The designs owned the runway, each look was unique and stunning in its own way. The details all the way to the accessories (handbag, socks, shoes) were on point. The play on color was remarkable but yet bold for the average women. There was enough style in the collection to make you want to rock a Vivienne Hu piece. Perfection!

I love classic styles that represent a true essence of a women's sophistication. Vivienne Hu brought that aspect to her runway showcase with styles that were airy and flowy for work wear, dinners out and beyond.  Each model graced the runway with a fabulous strut that made you want to be confident in a Vivienne Hu outfit.
